The yoga wheel is a relatively new addition to the yoga world, but it has already taken the scene by storm. This piece of equipment can provide you with many benefits if used correctly. We will discuss how to use the yoga wheel for the best results. We will also provide tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your yoga wheel experience!
The first thing you need to do when using a yoga wheel is figure out your comfort level. If you are new to the yoga wheel, start by sitting on it with your back against the wheel. You can then slowly begin to roll forward until you are in the middle of the wheel. Remain here for about five breaths before returning to starting position.
Once you feel comfortable with this pose, you can try extending one leg at a time into eagle pose or half pigeon pose. Be sure to keep your hips square and your shoulders relaxed as you hold these poses.
If you are looking for a more challenging workout, try doing crow pose on the yoga wheel. Begin by standing in front of the wheel and placing your hands on either side of it. Bend your knees and place your feet on the wheel. Then, press into your hands as you lift your feet off of the wheel. Be sure to keep your core engaged as you hold this pose.
Returning to starting position, you can now try doing king pigeon pose on the yoga wheel. Start by sitting on the wheel with your back against it. Bring one leg in front of you and cross it over the other thigh so that your shin is resting on top of your opposite thigh. Place both hands on the floor behind you and slowly lift yourself up until you are standing. Keep your chest open and look forward as you hold this pose.
Once again, be sure to return to starting position before trying another pose. Remember to take things slow and easy when first starting out. As you become more comfortable with the yoga wheel, you can try more challenging poses. Be sure to consult a health professional before beginning any new exercise routine.
